At Hornsea Sixth Form, we are proud to provide an exceptional environment where ambition is nurtured, individuality is celebrated, and success is achieved. Our aim is simple: to ensure every student leaves us with the confidence, skills, and qualifications to take their next steps in life — wherever their aspirations may lead.
With average class sizes of just eight, our students benefit from an unrivalled level of personalised support and attention. This allows our dedicated teachers to tailor their approach to the individual needs, strengths, and goals of every student. In small, focused classes, learning becomes a genuine dialogue — encouraging curiosity, critical thinking, and deeper understanding.
We are delighted to offer over 30 A Level courses, giving students the flexibility to build a programme of study that reflects their interests and ambitions. Whether their passion lies in the sciences, the arts, or the humanities, our broad curriculum ensures there is something for everyone. Alongside academic study, our students have access to a rich variety of enrichment opportunities, leadership roles, and community projects that help develop essential life skills and broaden horizons.
Our Sixth Form has an outstanding record of achievement. In 2025, Hornsea Sixth Form achieved a 100% pass rate, with every single student securing a place at their first-choice university. These results are a testament to the dedication of our students, the expertise of our staff, and the supportive environment we create together.
However, success at Hornsea Sixth Form is not measured by exam results alone. We take pride in developing well-rounded young people who are ready to make a positive impact in the world beyond school. Through guidance, challenge, and encouragement, we help our students grow into confident, independent, and resilient individuals — fully prepared for the demands of higher education and the opportunities of the future.
At Hornsea Sixth Form, every student is known, valued, and supported to reach their potential. I warmly invite you to visit us, meet our students and staff, and experience for yourself the energy, ambition, and sense of community that make our Sixth Form truly special.

Our average class size of 8 students undoubtably aids the effectiveness of the high quality teaching, which happens every day.
Last year, 59% of all A Level results were grades A*-B and we had a pass rate of 100%.
Our Pathways programme allows students to tailor their learning, building their skills and Sixth Form experiences around a specific career goal, in their desired industry. You can read more about our Pathways here.
We are not an exam factory; exam grades alone seldom facilitate future prosperity, curiosity or well-being. The curriculum fosters the development of students’ personal growth and resilience,
