On 22nd February Year 8 had a day off from their usual timetable and experienced a variety of workshops from ‘Prison Me? No Way’. These involved moving round with their Tutor group and listening to prisoners from Askham Bryan, Magistrates who put people in prison, presentations on CEOP and ‘sexting’ which included the drug sniffer dogs and looking at a cell that came to school in the back of a van.
This is one of the leading crime prevention and learning for life programmes working with schools and youth organisations all over the country. It is now the fifth time they have been in school and they cause a great deal of interest with all the students who always enjoy these presentations
Overall a highly successful day which is proven to shape attitudes and behaviour amongst young people.
