Entry Requirements

GCSE Drama is not essential if there is evidence of an ability to perform, and experience of extra-curricular performance.

Alongside the entry requirements for each course, you will also need to achieve the minimum Sixth Form entry requirements, which you can find here.

Assessment

Units on this course are 100% internally assessed and externally moderated.

Next Steps

A diploma in acting can set you up for a degree in a related field, such as acting or performance, and can allow you to pursue a career in the performing arts.

It can also be a useful qualification for roles within theatre, or even education.

RSL Diploma in Acting

This course enables you to develop knowledge of the processes involved in creating performances, performing skills and techniques, whilst having fun at being creating and performing to different audiences in and out of the school setting.

The course is heavily practically based and you will benefit from a wide variety of theatre trips and extra-curricular performances.

Groub B: Optional Units

There are 15 optional units to choose from on the acting pathway – something for everyone! These will be completed individually, small groups, class performance depending on the requirements of the units. There is opportunity to perform to different audiences as well as a range of venues and staging.
