We have an exciting opportunity for an innovative and inspirational teacher of English to join our school to teach across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5.

We seek the very best teachers who can consistently teach excellent, engaging lessons and achieve the outcomes that enable our students to make ambitious life choices. You will be able to enthuse and motivate our students with your love for English and creative teaching and personality.

The responsibility available for Key Stage 5 would enable you to lead the development of A Level English Literature, and English Language in a school sixth form, shaping our provision to ensure the best outcomes and experience for students.

Job Description

 

Safeguarding Officer

Scale Point 21 (£20,138) Full time, with term time option considered.

As part of the school commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students we are looking to appoint a suitably qualified, experienced and enthusiastic person to the role of Safeguarding Officer within the Student Support Team. The successful candidate will join a strong team committed to safeguarding, inclusion and supporting positive engagement with education to achieve best outcomes.

The post holder will follow established school policies and procedures and work directly with pupils and parents/carers to ensure that support and advice is available and identified concerns are addressed in a timely and professional manner. This will involve working closely with colleagues across the school, partner agencies, maintaining a high level of recording, attending meetings and contributing to the assessment of need and progressing referrals.

A solid understanding of safeguarding procedures is required, along with experience of working independently with vulnerable young people, ideally involving an education setting, with a background and qualification in Social Work, Counselling or Youth/Family Support work.

We are seeking to appoint a dynamic, enthusiastic and inspirational PE specialist to deliver engaging PE and Games lessons across the full range and ability of students.

Applicants should have a desire to raise the profile of PE within the school and encourage participation for extra-curricular activities. They will be passionate about their subject, have a good knowledge of the National Curriculum and be keen to contribute to the wider aspects of school life, particularly surrounding after school PE activities.
